Boulder's Entrepreneurship Scene
Federal Reserve Bank of Boston researchers ranked Boulder in 2007 as the highest performing small city for venture capital investment, while the American Electronics Association in 2008 found Boulder the No. 2 city in the nation in terms of percentage of workers employed in high-technology. More broadly, Boulder is among the nation's elite places to live when considering recreation, climate, culture, business environment and overall quality of life. Boulder ranked #1 in "The Smartest Cities In America" (Forbes, February 2008), #1 in "20 Dream Towns" (Outside Magazine, August 2006), and #1 Best Place to Live (Men's Journal, March 2005).
